What could be more fun than writing a message for my new community?

Hmmm... going shopping with an unlimted amount of money may be more fun, but I will never know, will I? :-)

what would you want to buy?

What would be most fun to get?

If the money were truly unlimited, that would make me think of cars, houses, swimming pools, furniture, etc.

So let's say I had an extra $1000, just for fun. There are quite a few out of print tarot decks I would like, and they can be fairly pricey. There are also some art decks that are signed, numbered editions that are beautiful. I have about 100 decks now, and some of them are limited editions. The artwork on different decks is amazing, and how else can you acquire 78 small pieces of art all at one time???

I always wonder about this - how much time do you spend admiring your collections?

I would think a new parrot would provide more entertainment, but I suppose you have your hands full with your current flock.

Generally, I always want to buy stuff I can use. With an extra $2,000 you'd probably see me buy a new MacBook Pro or Apple's 30" Cinema Display. You know I would spend many, many hours a day using either of those and so it looks like a great purchase for me.

It's sobering that I can't think of something costing "only" $1,000 that I really want. It's all $2,000 and $3,000 and $10,000 and up.

It must be nice to be a woman and be able to get a lift out of a cheap pair of shoes, instead of an expensive computer. Or so I think, except that it seems like the compulsion is hard to stop.

Sophie Kinsella's Shopaholic amuses me. Despite her addiction to shopping, her heroine is strangely lovable. But needs a wealthy guy, no question.

Actually, I spend some time admiring my cards, shuffling them, looking at the cool pictures, and sometimes actually doing readings with them. They are much more fun than shoes. :-)

Yes, while a new bird might be more entertaining, and baby birds are soooo cute, I am maxed out with my current flock. Besides, I have no room for another cage, and I don't really think the existing birds would welcome another one.
