I don't know about that math - in Chemistry, you are taught that you can't multiply quantities that are different units and in fact apply to different types of things entirely.

As I've said, as long as Iraq the Model's people keep the faith that the war was the right thing, I will too. And that means Bush is an impressive leader, someone willing to defy the odds to try and free a people from their bondage.

I do think it's interesting that although the Baker report gave recommendations, they seemed to boil down to staying the course with minor corrections. Even the Democrats in Congress don't seem keen to try and control the troop escalation.

I'm not sure if the escalation is necessary, except as propaganda to show that we're putting our money where our mouth is, and that we're not going to cut and run.

I don't think we have the stomach to do anything in Darfur. We might sponsor Ethiopians to do it for us, and that might be a good thing in the end.
